Today it was announced that Sentai Filmworks has licensed reverse harem anime series "Diabolik Lovers" season two. The series, which is currently being streamed outside of Japan by Crunchyroll, premiered on Oct. 4. Because Sentai Filmworks released the first season with an English dub, the second season is likely to get the same treatement.
So far, fans in an ANN forum are expressing excitement for Sentai's licensing of "Diabolik Lovers" season two.
"This is definitely going on to my 'to buy' list. I already have the first season, signed by some of the voice actors, sitting on my shelves," said WashuTakahashi.
Anime News Network reports that the first season assistant director Risako Yoshida is replacing the previous director Shinobu Tagashira. ZEXCS will still handle the animation production, but the new script supervisor will be Hiroko Kanasugi. Yuuko Yahiro will return as the character designer.
ANN also reports the following main Japanese voice cast for "Diabolik Lovers" season two:
Daisuke Hirakawa as Raito Sakamaki
Hikaru Midorikawa as Ayato Sakamaki
Katsuyuki Konishi as Reiji Sakamaki
Kousuke Toriumi as Shū Sakamaki
Rie Suegara as Yui Komori
Takashi Kondo as Subaru Sakamaki
Yuuki Kaji as Kanato Sakamaki
Daisuke Kishio as Azusa Mukami
Ryohei Kimura as Kou Mukami
Takahiro Sakurai as Ruki Mukami
Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yūma Mukami
My Anime List describes the series of "Diabolik Lovers" as follows:
"Yui Komori used to see dead people. But as troubling as past glimpses of spirits, poltergeists, and psychic phenomena may have been, they pale into insignificance compared to what she's about to discover once she's forced to transfer to a new school."
It goes on:
"Now she'll be sharing her living space with six very attractive young men, though not a single one is human. In moving from her father's church to becoming the object of six blood lusting young vampires' affections, Yui will undergo the most shocking, soul ripping and draining experience any teenage girl could imagine in her wildest fantasies... or most salacious nightmares."
