EXO's Luhan at Gimpo Airport, Departing for Beijing
Less than a week since debuting as a soloist, one former K-pop star released his second official music video.
Luhan, the Chinese singer-actor who was formerly a member of the K-pop idol group EXO, released the music video for his new song, "Your Song" on Sept. 21. The one-take music video is Luhan's second single since debuting as a solo artist last week with "That Good Good."
"Your Song" is an uptempo romantic song with a sweet message and a cute, animation filled music video, which was filmed without any apparent halts.
His previous song, "That Good Good," was a hip hop inspired dance track.
Luhan made his formal debut as a solo artist in China with the album "Reloaded" on Sept. 14, a little less than a year after filing a contract termination lawsuit against EXO's entertainment agency, SM Entertainment. Luhan claimed that the Chinese members of EXO were discriminated against and mistreated by SM Entertainment in comparison to the Korean members of EXO.
The idol had debuted as one of the vocalists of EXO's Mandarin-speaking subgroup, EXO-M and promoted in both Korea and China for most of his career until leaving EXO formally after filing his lawsuit on Oct. 10. 2014. The legal issues with SM Entertainment are still unresolved.
Luhan is one of three Chinese former EXO members who left SM Entertainment in 2014 and 2015 to focus on a career in China.
Since leaving EXO, Luhan has pursued an acting and singing career in China as a soloist, and won numerous popularity awards. In 2014, Luhan was chosen as one of the top ten most popular entertainment stars in China.
